Woodie’s and Make-A-Wish have partnered together to make brave children’s wishes come true!

Woodie’s launched their WOW! Working on Wishes fundraiser on 23rd July with the aim of raising enough money to grant 37 wishes one wish per Woodie’s store! It is an amazing undertaking and we are so proud of the work and enthusiasm all of Woodie’s staff are putting into it! The fundraiser has two aspects: a grueling road cycle as well as a static nationwide in-store bike challenge where store colleagues will “tag team” on static bikes.

Declan Ronayne, Chief Executive of Woodie’s who will lead the challenge says,

“We expect the cycle to push us to the limits of our ability. However, we are taking on the challenge to work together for a great cause to grant wishes to children living with life-threatening medical conditions. It’s a team effort to support the amazing charity Make-A-Wish and the children they serve. This will give us the determination to drive on during the tough moments I’m sure.”

Susan O’Dwyer, Chief Executive, Make-A-Wish said, “This is a huge undertaking by Woodie’s staff and we cannot thank them enough for their efforts. Partnerships such as this are critical for the charity. We receive no government funding relying entirely on the generosity of the community. This is an ambitious target and on behalf of all our wish children, I would like to wish everyone the best of luck. Enjoy and thank you. Every cent raised will go towards granting the wishes of some amazing children.”
