Through our postal campaign to you, we highlight one special wish that was delivered during the year, to show the real impact your donations make on a wish child and their a family. That special wish was for 16-year-old Grace.
Born with Down Syndrome, from a young age, Grace also battled transverse myelitis, a rare and crippling neurological condition. While Grace’s body is compromised, with her illness leaving her wheelchair bound, her story is one of hope and resilience. Her special interest in geography and in particular the weather systems, allowed Make-A-Wish to deliver the most special of Wishes this year. Grace’s wish was simple yet profound: to meet her idol, Gerry Murphy, a meteorologist known for his appearances on RTÉ weather forecasts. With support like yours, we made her wish a reality.
