Organising an Event

Thank you for choosing to fundraise for Make-A-Wish Ireland. You are helping us to make a difference and grant wishes to children battling illnesses like Leukaemia, Medulloblastoma, Cystic Fibrosis and many others. It’s our aim to grant 225 wishes this year to brave children across Ireland in 2016. We can’t do this without your help.

There’s much more to fundraising than just shaking a bucket. In fact, there’s no limit to the imaginative ways in which you can help us raise money – the key is to put the fun into fundraising so that you’ll enjoy every moment of it! Emmett and Dylan decided to hitch hike from the top of Ireland to the very bottom. They started their 4 day trek from Malin Head and finished in Mizen Head! Their event was a huge success and they raised €1003.76 not to mention having a lot of fun along the way.

Another one of our fundraisers was organised by Dan O’Sullivan from Bantry, Co. Cork. He shaved off his phenomenal beard for Make-A-Wish last year. Dan, who was growing his beard for 27 years, gladly gave it up for the cause and raised a staggering €8,683. Dan gained the support of his local community who were glad to sponsor him and attend his eighties event for the night of the big shave.
