Part Time Finance Assistant

Position: Finance Assistant – part time

Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer

Type: 2-year fixed term contract

Make-A-Wish Ireland has one simple aim – to grant the wishes of children with critical medical conditions, to bring hope, strength and happiness.

We are now in an exciting period of growth within the organisation, the position for a part-time Finance Assistant will work closely with the Senior Finance Assistant.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Day-to day financial:

 

  • Downloading reports from various platforms such as Stripe, Benevity, Paypal, Revolut, Just giving etc and reconciling data imported to the CRM (Salesforce).

 

  • Querying transactions with the bank.

 

  • Working with the Fundraising team to ensure correct donor data, including nominal coding reconciling to the accounting system (Xero).

 

  • Generate receipts and letters of acknowledgment where required.

 

Other

 

  • Working closely with the Senior Finance Assistant on monitoring data quality in the CRM.

 

  • Providing general administrative support within the Finance team.

 

  • Cross team finance assistance, including Fundraising and Wishgranting events.

 

  • Other ad hoc duties as requested by the Senior Finance Assistant.

 

Person Specification

 

· Strong attention to detail.

· Strong administrative, numeric and analytical skills.

· Ability to deal with a high volume of transactions with experience in reconciliations between accounts and other systems.

· Strong organisational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to multi- task and prioritise.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to work on you
