Mary Byrne takes an active approach in her charity work, having participated in Make-A-Wish Ireland’s Rope for Hope event in September 2017 which saw the singer abseil down one of Dublin’s tallest buildings!
Mary has also performed at the Make-A-Wish Crystal Ball, wowing the audience with her warm personality and powerhouse voice.
The former X-factor star says, “I’m delighted to be a Make-A-Wish Ireland ambassador. I’m a big believer the in the power of a wish-come-true, and no one deserves that more than a child who is battling a life-threatening illness. The joy and hope that Make-A-Wish Ireland brings to these children and their families is just incredible and I look forward to helping spread the word about the great work they do!”
Mary is no stranger to fairy-tales, having won the hearts of millions on the X-factor in 2010. Since then, Mary has performed for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on her historic State visit to Ireland in 2011, and shared the stage with Neil Diamond to perform for over 55,000 fans at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium.
