Our volunteers Rosemarie and Cheryl met with Amelia and her mum Sara to discover her wish. Amelia’s favourite colour is pink, she loves the barbie movie, and her favourite activity is shopping. Amelia wished for a shopping spree with her family in Dublin City!
Amelia’s wish was granted recently, when Optimum Chauffers collected Amelia, brothers Luke and Fin and Mum and Dad, and brought them to The College Green Hotel Dublin. On arrival at the hotel, the family were met with customised bathrobes and a spread of treats!
After this, Amelia embarked on her shopping spree in Dublin City! She and her mum got their nails done at Fifth Avenue nail salon and then walked over to Style Club on William Street where they met manager Katrina. Katrina brought them on a tour of the salon, styled their hair and gave Amelia some personalised beauty tips. Next, Amelia checked out her favourite clothes shops to pick out a new outfit! Finally, the whole family went on the Viking Splash tour through the city!
Mam told us afterwards: “We had the best time, the hotel staff really went above and beyond to make it so special for Amelia, they organised special robes for them, a big dessert cart which went down a treat and the best breakfast ever (Amelia had a giant stack of the best pancakes). She was living all her shopping dreams, and we had the best time on the Viking splash!”
