Help Honour Eve’s Memory This Christmas

Eve was so loved. She may be gone, but her light still shines in every laugh and every memory.

When Eve was eleven, she collapsed at school. Blood tests initially came back clear, but a later scan at Temple Street found a brain tumour.

Her parents were told that children with her diagnosis usually have about nine months to live. For her parents Hugh and Catherine those were nine months to fill her life with fun and joy. Nine months to show her how loved she was.

Eve loved animals, books, and art. She loved winding her big brother Calum up by correcting his grammar. And she wanted, more than anything, to be a zookeeper.

Your generosity made that wish come true.

Eve had her first trip to Dublin Zoo and time behind the scenes with some friends.

She was thrilled. Christina, a volunteer with Make-A-Wish and a Zookeeper made the experience so much fun for her.

Eve was so happy there. And every visit meant so much to her. You can see it in her smile.

Eve was thirteen when she died. Instead of nine months, her family had the gift of twenty-one months with her. They hold every memory close.

This Christmas you can honour Eve’s memory by giving a gift that brings joy to a child with a serious illness.

Your donation will help grant wishes like Eve’s, wishes that brighten long hospital stays, and memories that last a lifetime.
