Rob’s Wish

To have a gaming PC

Rob, from Cork, is a gaming fanatic and had his wish granted have a Gaming PC.

He was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma in 2021. Rhabdomyosarcoma is a rare form of cancer that forms in areas of the body’s soft tissue. As well as being a keen gamer, Rob is also a keen cyclist. Rob’s mum said that “cycling saved his life”, as his illness was diagnosed after Rob felt an unusual pain while out cycling.

As Rob is a gaming fanatic, he has been dreaming of owning his own “proper” Gaming PC since he was just 10 years of age. Rob told Make-A-Wish that having one would allow him the chance to “have more fun and explore more gaming”.  Make-A-Wish Ireland was delighted to make this wish a reality for Rob when we granted his wish to have a Gaming PC.

Thank you to our volunteers Louise & Caoimhe for helping to create such a magical wish day for Rob and his family, as well as a big thank you to Party Delights in Cork for their donation of the themed and personalised balloons for Rob.

Together we can make a difference for children.

Make-A-Wish Ireland has one simple aim – to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, to bring hope, strength and happiness.

With your kind support, you can help us achieve that aim.
