Prof Basil Elnazir, is a consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine & Cystic Fibrosis at Children’s Health Ireland.
He had his PhD from the University Of Birmingham, UK, and is a Clinical Professor with Trinity College Dublin.
Basil was the chair of the medical advisory group of Asthma society Ireland and member of the National Severe Asthma group. He served as a National Speciality Director of Paediatrics in the Faculty of Paediatrics at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
He served as a Board member for Make a Wish Ireland between 2012-2015, and has started his second term on the Board in 2026.
