He told us “I am very proud to have been asked to be an ambassador for ‘Make a Wish Ireland’. I have long been an admirer of the work the foundation does, making dreams come true for children and families. As a psychotherapist I fully understand how important and magically wish granting is for sick children and their families. Our little cousin, Rían, died in 2012 of a brain tumour. I listened to the excitement in the family as Rían and his parents went to Disney Paris. It was a dream come true for young Rían, and a moment we all still talk about as a family. I will do my best to represent the organisation with dignity and honour, I will work to promote the charity through my various platforms and take part in any event ‘Make a Wish’ ask of me. I am very excited to work with and promote the fantastic work of Make-A-Wish Ireland.”
