Remembering Paddy Cole

With Sympathy: Remembering Paddy Cole

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Irish show band legend, Paddy Cole (85), a lifelong ambassador and cherished friend for Make-A-Wish Ireland. Paddy’s unwavering passion and dedication for the children we support was truly inspiring.

In 2018 he set up the Paddy Cole fund-raising golf classic with a group of close friends, the event is now a much-anticipated annual event which has gone from strength to strength each year, under Paddy’s guidance.

Whether it was promoting Make-A-Wish on his show on Sunshine FM or fundraising to support the organisation, Paddy was always there—just a phone call away—ready to lend a hand and make a difference.

We extend our heartfelt sympathies to Paddy’s beloved wife, Helen, his three children, and his many friends and loved ones.

Rest in peace, Paddy. Your kindness and generosity will never be forgotten.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.💙

Together we can make a difference for children.

Make-A-Wish Ireland has one simple aim – to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, to bring hope, strength and happiness.

With your kind support, you can help us achieve that aim.
