Alannah’s Wish

To have a VIP LEGO experience

Alannah is 5 and from the kingdom of Kerry. She loves unicorns, colouring and her younger brother Adam.

As she was finishing up her treatment for a Brain tumour she had a zoom call with volunteers Nellie and Amanda. It was clear to them that Alannah’s biggest love was LEGO and her wish should involve LEGO in some way. The wishgranting team got to work and along with the LEGO store on Dublin’s Grafton street made a plan to grant a LEGO-tastic wish.

Alannah and her family were collected from their hotel by horse and carriage to be brought to an exclusive experience in the LEGO shop. Staff greeted them and Alannah was given her very own LEGO store uniform. She and Adam got to play with the LEGO, customise a minifigure and pick out some LEGO to bring home. Alannah’s mam said the staff were absolutely wonderful and so kind and played with Alannah and Adam. She said they had a truly magical day with the family also visiting Dublin Zoo’s Wildlights while they were in Dublin.

A huge thanks to all the staff in the LEGO store Dublin and to Dublin horse drawn carriages for making Alannah’s wish extra special.

Together we can make a difference for children.

Make-A-Wish Ireland has one simple aim – to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, to bring hope, strength and happiness.

With your kind support, you can help us achieve that aim.
