Badshah was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma at a young age and has undergone frequent rounds of chemotherapy at Crumlin hospital.
He loves gaming and getting creative with different projects at home, and he is happiest when achieving his goals, and making fun, creative projects.
The wish journey began when volunteers, Orla and Eleni, met with Badshah and his mum Lisa to learn more about him and discover his wish. Badshah used a 3D printer during a special one-on-one class that his school arranged for him at the end of his quarantine period after his stem cell treatment. After this experience, Badshah wished to have a 3D printer, so that he and his brothers could make lots of different projects at home!
Upon learning about Badshah’s wish, we reached out to our friends in 123-3D, who were more than happy to share their expertise and guided us in planning our first 3D printer wish. 123-3D supplied Badshah with a printer they specially selected as it’s easy to configure and use and would be perfect for Badshah and his brothers.
On the day of Badshah’s wish, Dave from 123-3D and our wonderful volunteer Rosemarie travelled to Waterford for Badshah’s wish reveal. Badshah was absolutely ecstatic when he saw the printer being delivered to his house! Dave helped to set it up and provided training for Badshah and his brothers on how to use it.
Dave told us afterwards: “it was such a heartwarming day, and I really enjoyed the time spent with Lisa, Badshah and their lovely family. They are such a creative bunch!”
Lisa told our wishgranters after the wish that “Badshah had been dreaming about a 3D printer for a long time. It was a lovely day and Dave was amazing. Badshah is so happy and has already made lots of stuff”.
Badshah has been busy since, creating some amazing 3D printed art!
A huge thank you to volunteers Orla, Eleni and Rosemarie, as well as Dave and the entire team at 123-3D for making Badshah’s wish come true!
