Dan’s Wish

Meet the Irish Rugby Team

Meet Dan, a brave 7-year-old from Dublin, who had acute myeloid leukaemia.

Back in August, his wish came true when he got to meet the Irish rugby team on the Captain’s Run at the Aviva Stadium. Getting the chance to stand pitch side, he had the opportunity to meet and speak with some of the team, including Peter O Mahony, Josh Van Der Flier, Bundee Aki, Dan Sheehan, and James Lowe. Dan was especially happy to meet Garry Ringrose, who is his favourite player on the team!

The very next day, he witnessed their triumph over England with a spectacular 29-10 victory ahead of the World Cup, making Dan’s wish experience even sweeter!

A huge thanks to the Irish Rugby team for their support on the day.

Together we can make a difference for children.

Make-A-Wish Ireland has one simple aim – to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, to bring hope, strength and happiness.

With your kind support, you can help us achieve that aim.
