Dylan’s Wish

To Go to Forest Fest

Meet Dylan, a 17-year-old from Cork with a big love for music.

Born with a critical heart condition, Dylan’s energy and smile light up every room.

When we met with Dylan and his mum Marie, we learned all about his love for music. Dylan had had been to Paulo Nutini and Bruce Springsteen in concert, he told us his favourite thing in the world is to listen to live music.

His greatest wish? To experience his first ever music festival with his family, where everyone could enjoy their favourite bands together.

That dream came true at Forest Fest in Laois. Dylan, his parents, and brothers were treated to a luxury glamping stay thanks to Pitched Perfect, complete with lots of VIP touches. His highlight of the weekend was meeting Riptide Movement and hearing their stories behind the music.

Dylan’s mam told us afterwards: “Dylan has been to a few local concerts, but this was his first festival, and he loved every minute, the music and all the lovely people we met!  He was so looked after by Wendy and Shane at pitched perfect and the lady that drove the shuttle bus! He was front seat passenger with her every trip and Fiona who took some pictures for us!

Together we can make a difference for children.

Make-A-Wish Ireland has one simple aim – to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, to bring hope, strength and happiness.

With your kind support, you can help us achieve that aim.
