Leila’s Wish

To have a family staycation

7-year-old, Leila from Dublin, loves spending time with her family and exploring different parts of Ireland. We were delighted to recently grant Leila’s wish for a family staycation.

Leila and her family had an amazing time at The Mulranny Park Hotel in Co. Mayo. They visited Achill Island and had the chance to meet and feed the Achill Island Alpacas. Leila and her family also visited Westport, where they took a boat trip from Westport Harbour taking in the beautiful scenery of the Mayo coastline. As well as visiting the Pirate Adventure Park at Westport House, where they had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the trip on the train there.

Leila’s mam said the trip was “magical” and that it was an “amazing experience!”. Leila’s mam said that Leila and her family were “so happy and energized” after their staycation.

A huge thank you to the GN Mulranny Park Hotel, Achill Island Alpacas, Westport Cruises, and to everyone at Westport House for helping make Leila’s wish come true.

Together we can make a difference for children.

Make-A-Wish Ireland has one simple aim – to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, to bring hope, strength and happiness.

With your kind support, you can help us achieve that aim.
