Mia’s Wish

To have a new cargo bike

Meet Mia, aged 4, living with childhood cancer. Mia lives with her parents and this year was excited to start school in September.

When Mia met with our volunteers about her wish, she spoke excitedly about getting to and from school on a bike. To meet with Mia’s needs along with the excitement of starting school, Mia wished for a cargo bike.

The Wishgranting team got work, researching about cargo bikes after Mia decided on her wish. They soon found the perfect bike, suitable for Mia and her family. The Wishgranting team made sure Mia was set up with a new helmet, a horn and a hi-visibility vest to get her ready for all of her trips on the new bike.

Just in time for Mia’s first day of school, her cargo bike was ready to be collected and Mia and her dad were able to use it for Mia’s first school run. We hope Mia has years of fun and exciting journeys on her new cargo bike with her family.

Together we can make a difference for children.
