It’s 11:11 — time to make a wish

There’s something magical about catching the clock at 11:11 and whispering a quick wish. At Make-A-Wish Ireland, that tiny spark of hope reminds us of our wish children, imagining something wonderful and believing it can really happen.

This year, we’re bringing that magic to life with our 11:11 campaign. We’ve been setting broken clocks across Ireland to 11:11. From the Clery’s clock on O’Connell Street to the Abbey Presbyterian Church, The Long Hall Pub, and landmark clock in Waterford, Cork, and Galway all ticking together in hope.

On November 11th, we’re inviting everyone to pause at 11:11, make a wish, and help grant one too by donating to Make-A-Wish Ireland.

Because when we all wish together, incredible things can happen.

With your generous support we can make the dreams of critically ill children come true.

The Power of a Wish

Wishes are life-changing moments for critically ill children, bringing hope and strength to wish children, their families and their community. By making a donation to Make-A-Wish Ireland, you are helping to make critically ill children’s wishes come true.

About Make-A-Wish Ireland

Make-A-Wish Ireland has one simple aim – to grant the wishes of children living with critical illnesses, bringing hope, strength and happiness to families and communities.  Since 1992, we have granted wishes for more than 3,500 brave children across Ireland, including 214 wishes granted in 2024 alone.

A wish granted is a lasting, life-changing moment for our wish children, providing respite from their normal routines of hospitals, doctors and treatment, and inspiring hope and resilience. Make-A-Wish Ireland does not receive any government funding and relies overwhelmingly on the kindness of the Irish public to continue granting wishes.
