Jack joined the Wishgranting team at Make-A-Wish in October 2024, having previously worked in a variety of roles across written and social media.
As well as this, he has nearly a decade of experience in working part-time in supporting neurodivergent children. His passion for doing so led him to wanting to transition into the charity sector in a full-time capacity.
In his spare time, Jack spends an unhealthy amount of time and energy following St Patrick’s Athletic around the country, and having rings run around him by his overexuberant dog called Christy.
We caught up with Jack recently to talk about his experience:
“Having had experience of critical medical conditions in my own family, I have an appreciation of how much it can mean to have moments of positivity and something to look forward to during otherwise difficult times. I never take my work for granted and am always privileged to play even a small role in helping bring wishes to life and seeing the uplifting effect they can have. Speaking to, learning about and occasionally being lucky enough to meet these young people and their families is what keeps me passionate about this work beyond anything else. They are all incredibly inspiring people who more than deserve the sense of escapism and lasting, happy memories that wishes can bring.”
