Emma is our wishgranting and volunteer manager here at Make-A-Wish Ireland, and she helps to make incredible wishes come true every single day!
She brings nearly twenty five years’ professional experience working in Ireland and globally, with extensive experience in marketing, communications, fundraising, research and project operations. She is also a registered Special Olympics volunteer, and in her spare time, she loves to DJ!
We caught up with her recently to talk about her experience.
“Being a part of Make-A-Wish is a profound reminder of the power of hope. Watching a child’s face light up after enduring so much is a moment that stays with you forever. The true magic of a wish stretches far beyond the child; it wraps around the entire family. Having experienced Make-A-Wish Ireland as a fundraiser, a volunteer, a supporter and now a wish granter, I see the full picture of how that magic is made.
Volunteering with Make-A-Wish is an honour, because a wish doesn’t just impact the wish child; it breathes life, laughter, and light back into an entire family when they need it most. Having previously held the Fundraising Manager role at Make-A-Wish, I know exactly how a donor’s support transforms into a child’s smile.
I am honoured to work with this fantastic team, using my unique background to deliver hope, strength, and joy when it is needed most.”
