William joined the Make-A-Wish Ireland team in April 2025, coming from a background in fundraising for children and health charities. We caught up with William recently where he talked about his experience at Make-A-Wish Ireland.
“Being a part of Make-A-Wish has been such a privilege, it really is incredible getting to see children’s faces light up after being through so much hardship. The impact that a wish has on a whole family can’t be understated. It brings so much light and joy back into a house that often hasn’t had much recently”
“One wish that always sticks with me was a young girl who got to meet her favourite wrestler and watch her fight. After the wish she told us, “When I think of the time I met Rhea Ripley, it makes me feel strong and brave, just like her.” I think it just really shows the mindset shift change a wish can have for a family, giving them something to hold on to when times get tough.
